All the Better to See You With, My Dear
The eyes are the mirror of the soul. With a glance, so much can be said: anger, love, tenderness, curiosity, fear and more. So, if this is true 9and it is), why do aliens have such large black eyes?
The Grays are the most commonly seen aliens, and have large, slanted eyes. Their eyes and large heads have been noted by most abductees. Pictures drawn by abductees, or actual photographs of the Grays, support this fact – but why?
A study suggests that where we live geographically affects the size of eyes and heads, whether you are an alien or human. Humans who are born near the equator have smaller eyes and heads. Humans living in higher latitudes have larger eyes and heads because the brain needs to be larger to be able to decipher what they see and where they live. People from Greenland and Kenya have both larger eyes and heads, because they need more brain power to deal with the lower light levels.
People in higher latitudes with bigger brains does not mean they are smarter than those in lower latitudes. However, if you live near the Arctic circle, your eyeballs are 20% larger after generations.

Larger eyes, due to lower light, is also observed in the animal world. Nocturnal animals have proportionally larger eyes and pupils than animals that roam during daylight hours.
So, one must assume the Gray aliens come from a darker planet, perhaps? Or, as suggested in the Gray Guardians Series Book Series, the Grays lived below the surface in dim light for over a century due to environmental and a biological mutation that drove them there.
One thing for sure, if you have ever been abducted by the Grays, their hauntingly large, slanted black eyes will forever be etched in your memory.
