The world is fascinated by the possibility of alien life: Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and Lost in Space. Not to forget ET and Close Encounter of the Weird Kind! With so many sightings over decades, and the constant denial by our government, is this stuff in the league of Nessie and Big Foot, or are they hiding something? But how could so many people be wrong?

Suddenly, we are seeing footage from Navy and Air Force pilots, underwater sightings with inexplicable speeds. Lights appearing all over the world that seem to go from slow moving to supersonic in a millisecond. And these sightings and disclosures are happening more randomly than ever.

Alien existence disclosure has never been closer, but many are disappointed over the release of mainly previously released or leaked video sightings from our military. So, why so little so late?

It seems everyone is far more open to the existence of aliens and UFOs. There is less of a chance of mass hysteria than ever before. In fact, people who previously wouldn’t talk about their close encounters are now discussing them openly. The fact is conspiracy theories have become a genuine national security concern.

Recently on the Fox News Channel, John Ratcliffe, former Director of National Intelligence, said, “There are instances where we don’t have good explanations for some of the things that we’ve seen.”

Also, 60 Minutes did a segment on the possibility of alien UFOs in our atmosphere. Bill Whitaker reported on the regular sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena (or UAP), that have spurred an upcoming report to Congress. (For the inquiring mind, here’s the link: https://youtu.be/ZBtMbBPzqHY).

Nick Pope, investigator for the UK’s Ministry of Defense says we may never know why the Pentagon did a U-turn on UFOs after so many decades of denial. The US Intelligence Service closed Project Blue Book in 1969, basically saying, “…nothing to see here!” There has been no official interest in UFO investigations from 1969 through 2017.

So, why are they talking disclosure now? Certainly, from what they released of UFOs captured on video, there is no conclusive evidence of alien existence.  However, as we well know, our intelligence agencies are not above sending out tidbits of information to redirect us from what is actually happening, or floating trial balloons. This allows them to test messaging.

Perhaps they are diverting our attention to cover up our own US advanced technology. Think about it. If they were caught testing something they don’t want a foreign power knowing about, blame the aliens!

Or is there a more vulnerable aspect to this phenomenon? Perhaps all sightings are of earthly origin and our intelligence is under considerable pressure from China or Russia, who perhaps have more advanced technologically than us (but probably not, just sayin’).

But if we stop and think about it, since the 1950s until today, information and technology are doubling at such a rapid pace that Dick Tracy tech is real, and we are aiming for Mars. Thinking out loud, could it be we have other worldly technology we’ve reversed engineered? What do you think?
