Cleaning with Aliens
We often equate Spring with spring cleaning, something our homes, apartments, and indeed, all living quarters need occasionally. It’s not that we don’t clean all year, but some of the deep cleaning, like behind the refrigerator or the tall bookcase, is too labor-intensive to move. Then we have our cabinets, when we pull out clean and realign them. If you are like me, you wonder why you kept that THING since last year, when you haven’t used it in years! Yet we clean it and put it back in place. You never know when you can use it, right?
Now this begs me to wonder, do aliens have our cleaning issues? At home or on their ships? Do aliens have homes? Do they keep things they don’t really need? Is it a problem to them if dust is covering their belongings? If they have belongings, are they stored in cupboards that need regular cleaning? Do things get greasy because they cook at home sometimes?
Something tells me they have limited possessions and they have filters that would prevent dust. I cannot imagine an advanced species having problems with dust. They probably have filters that are for all airborne particles, preventing the need for weekly or daily dusting.
In a past blog, I wrote about aliens being smelly beings. Often the abductee complains about their personal odor. So, you do need to separate personal care from home and ship cleanliness.
This isn’t a criticism of aliens or humans, but we are in a constant state of cleaning things! Dishes, clothes, floors, windows, bathrooms, oh my! Then there is the car issue. Since we don’t own spaceships, we have cars that get pooped on, splashed on, and that’s just the outside! Inside, we have spilled coffee and other drinks, lost French fries, dragged in dirt and pebbles, melted ice cream on the door, handprints on the windows and the impossible-to-remove family pet fur! It just makes you want to scream!
Okay, so perhaps aliens just don’t have our issues when it comes to cleaning. They most likely have built-in systems to tidy up things. Myself, I have a maid, dishwasher, window cleaner, and laundry pick-up and cleaning service. I’m so lucky it’s all reasonably priced and one source. Yes, you guessed it — it’s me, myself, and I who does it all. Hmmm, just writing about this has given me a new outlook. I can and do, do it all. I’m a cleaning Wonder Woman!
Maybe, just maybe, this year I will pack that THING up and put it in my car to take to Goodwill, where someone might buy it and put it in their cupboard for years, and years, and years!
Or, maybe during one of their abductions, the Grays will return them after they clean their house and discard all the unused possessions . . . Is that too much to ask?
