What Crashed on the Moon in March?
On March 4, 2022, two new craters appeared on the moon as a result of a yet unspecified craft that crashed on the moon. Was it a rocket? The typical motor end and fuel tank were not visible, plus, a double crater was created which makes it unlikely a rocket.
No one seems to have the answers about exactly what hit the moon or what its origins were. However, the first suspect was SpaceX, while others pointed to China’s space agency.
The impact wasn’t visible to humans. It created a dust cloud that may have lingered for hours. We know little of the crash, since it hit on the far side of the moon.
National Geographic determined a “rocket” hit the far side of the moon within the Hertzsprung crater at 5,800 mph, creating a 65-foot-wide crater, destroying it entirely. A plan was set in motion to use cameras from NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter to discover the impact site, and any debris and environmental changes it may have caused.
Of course, this is the dream of any Ufologist, as proof that UFOs are real, and it is just another alien crash site the government is trying to cover up. So, pardon my skepticism regarding the official claim that it is most likely a manmade object from Earth or a rogue rocket of mysterious origins that hit on the far side of the moon – instead of the closest side facing earth. All of this all makes me want to go “hmmm . . .”
Snopes.com claims images of the impact on social media to be false. I put little faith in their truth-or-fiction site. They tend to lean too political.
Clearly, the Ufologists have a more realistic and believable hypotheses. I’m going with them on this one.
What say you?
